Cliffs and Coastline

This is the harbour of Solva, a small village tucked away in a bay.

The tide being out - the harbour looked pretty waterless, when we were there. 

The Solva walk leads past these limekilns - and up.

The weather changes all the time. But we only had a few moments of rain.  

Real sunshine at last ... 

But still  raging conflicts in the cloud department ...

 ... and more to come. 

How much meteorological drama is one allowed per walk?

The little rocky island, we saw from the vantage-point where we had lunch.

This is where we came from - all the way up along the cliffs ...

 ... and down below it looked like this - a lot more hairraising really than on the picture.  

 Lunch has been partaken of - but still: Mustn't miss a thing!

Same here - although in a more leisurely manner. 

The walk went between this windshaped hawthorn and the cliff.

Enough stuff for a rock garden or two.
